Homeopathy in Munich

Homeopathy is based on the experiences of Samuel Hahnemann in the 18th/19th century. Century. Hahnemann worked according to the principle of similarity, formulated the phrase “similar things should be cured by similar things”, lat. similia similibus curentur. The homeopathic medicine should be such that, undiluted in the healthy person, it produces symptoms similar to those from which the sick person suffers. Thus, belladonna, deadly nightshade, which produces large pupils due to poisoning, is used for fever associated with dilated pupils.

Hence the name homeopathy, which means “similar suffering” (Greek hómoios = same, similar, Greek páthos = suffering).

Substances from animal, plant or mineral sources are used, which are administered in highly diluted form, known as potentization. The treatment method is complex because we do not look for a remedy for a disease symptom, but for a remedy for the individual person who comes to us with his symptoms.

Private and some statutory health insurance companies now reimburse homeopathic treatment, which always begins with the anamnesis, the detailed initial discussion. Check with your health insurance provider.
